...in summary the cruises we offer are:

Between Bagan and Mandalay - the classic one or two night cruises between the ancient capitals of Myanmar stopping at places of interest on the way such as Ohn-Ne-Choung Village and Yandabo Village

The Chindwin and Ayeyawady Rivers

Bagan - Monywa - Mawlaik - Toungdoot
Homalin - Kani - Mingkin - Katha- Kalewa
Mandalay - Bhamo... plus many more!

We offer one special 20 night Chindwin-Upper Irrawaddy
combination cruise for the most intrepid travellers...

Upper Irrawaddy Expeditions to Bhamo - holiday of 12 nights or 20 nights (Chindwin + Ayeyawady) including Yangon stopover, this expedition combines scenic interest with a study of local life and culture. Visit the main historic and cultural centres as well as many remoter places well off the beaten track. Such small towns and villages are part of a rich river economy and are thriving with local industry and activity. Irrawaddy valley civilisation has changed little in hundreds of years and wherever you go the people are warm, friendly and very hospitable.

The river varies enormously: it is vast with endless winding channels just above Mandalay and then dark and narrow through the 3rd Defile. It is a constantly changing landscape with a stunning back-drop of mountains. Go inland at Katha and see the jungle at first hand and hopefully working elephants. Bhamo is normally off limits to foreigners and until recently was close to the insurgent war zone. It is the ancient gateway to China and remains an important centre for cross border trade.

Expeditions and short cruises on board the Pandaws are relaxed and convivial. Many passengers comment that a voyage on the Pandaws is like being part of a private house party. Most evenings there are briefings to discuss the days events and explain aspects of Burmese cultural life
