Day 1: arrive Yangon in evening and transfer to hotel.  Overnight Yangon.

Day 2: in the morning drive to Bago (Pegu) - on the way visit the Hraukkyant War Memortial which pays tribute to 27,000 allied soldiers who perished during World War 2.  After lunch in Bago continue to Kyaiktiyo to see the famous Golden Rock Pagoda in the mountains. Overnight Kyaiktiyo.

Day 3: morning depart Kyaiktiyo for Bago. visit the Shwethalyaung Reclining Buddha (circa 994 AD) measuring 55 metres long; the Shwemawdaw Paya towering 114 metres; the Mahazedi Paya originally built by King Bayinnaung, subsequently destroyed by an earthquake in 1930 and finally rebuilt in 1982; the Kaik Pun Paya built in 1476 and where stand four 30-metre high Buddha Images. Tour of Moeyungyi Lake. Overnight Moeyungyi Wildlife Sanctuary hotel.

Day 4: morning depart for Pyay (Prome) and on the way visit the Shwemyetman Paya. Afternoon visit Sri Ksetra the ancient city of the Pyu peoples dating back to at least the 5th century AD. Overnight Pyay.

Day 5 depart for Bagan in early morning ~ Bagan can be called one of the Wonders of the World having over 2,000 Pagodas dating back to the eleventh century. Overnight Bagan.

Day 6: all day Bagan sightseeing including a visit to the impressive Bagan Museum. Visit the famous lacquerware village and see the craftspeople at work. Optional trip with Balloons Over Bagan ~ see the magnificent Pagodas from the air!! Overnight Bagan.

Day 7: all day sightseeing and relaxing in Bagan including the Buphaya Stupa overlooking the Ayeyawady River, said to be the oldest in Bagan but which was completely destroyed in the 1975 earthquake and was subsequently rebuilt. Overnight Bagan.

Day 8: depart Bagan in morning for the drive through the beautiful dry zone to Mandalay via Mount Popa, home of the Nats; and see U Bein bridge, the longest teakwood bridge in the world. Overnight Mandalay.

Day 9: all day Mandalay and district: morning visit the Maha Muni Pagoda; stone carving and tapestry workshops, a silk weaving factory in Amarapura and Sagaing Hill. In the afternoon take a short boat ride to Innwa ("Ava") and then a buggy to visit this old Capital. Overnight Mandalay.

Day 10: morning take a leisurely boat ride across the Ayeyawady to Mingun and see the world's largest ringing bell cast in 1808, the massive unfinished Mingun Paya and the wonderful Mingun Buddhist Home for the Aged founded in 1915; then on to the Mya Thein Dan Zedi before returning to Mandalay. In the afternoon visit the Mandalay Palace, the World's biggest book and Hman Kyaung ("Glass Hall Monastery"). Evening see the sunset from Mandalay Hill. Overnight Mandalay.

Day 11: Morning drive to Inle Lake through beautiful unspoilt countryside via Myogyi, Ywangban and Aungban Overnight Inle Lake.

Day 12: all day tour of Inle Lake. Visit Nam Pan Market, In Paw Khone Village the floating gardens and the famous Nga Phe Kyaung or "Jumping Cat" Monastery. Overnight Inle Lake.

Day 13: drive to Kalaw and then on to the famous Pindaya Caves with over 8,000 Buddha Images. Overnight Pindaya.

Day 14: morning depart Pindaya for flight to Yangon. Afternoon tour of Yangon including the Shwedagon Pagoda and the National Museum.  In the late afternoon visit the Botatuang Paya on the Yangon River. Complimentary Cultural Show with buffet dinner in the evening. Overnight Yangon.

Day 15: morning visit the Bo-Ka-Lay Market and Gems Museum; shopping at the famous Scotts Market. International departures.
